Claudia has come through private lessons and Camden Tennis Academy's junior development squad and is another example of the quality players produced at South Camden. Claudia has always been a solid stroker of the ball and is currently working on her top spin control, in a effort to make her more consistent.
She has chosen to seek out the stronger competition available at Southern Districts and is already making her presence felt. At the time of going to press she is playing in Div 9, in the Southern Districts Tennis Association's Junior Competition. Claudia has gone from winning Div 14 in the last Summer Comp, to a finalist in Div 11 last comp and rewarded for excellent singles results, by placing her up 2 divisions, into division 9.
Claudia works solidly at her training sessions and is now starting to see the benefits. As a member of Camden Tennis Academy's junior development squad, she continues to show promise, developing a solid serve, consistent ground strokes and is now developing her court craft.
She recently travelled to Cootamundra to play in their Junior Tennis Tournament and was successful in the under 10 year girls singles event. We hope she continues to strive and develop her game. She is already one tough competitor and who knows how far she can go with a more positive attitude.
